Invite Him to the Helm: by Malika George

Have you ever felt alone while surrounded by people; have you ever felt like a storefront with good stuff on the outside for show, but on inside there is just nothing good. Sometimes for one reason or another there is a storm that arises on the inside of us. It rages for only us to feel and no one else to see. It’s times like this we need to invite the sovereign captain to the helm of the ship. Sometimes He is already on board the vessel but we have never invited Him to steer. Much like the disciples in Mark who allowed Jesus to sleep while they tried to battle the storm alone, only to figure out there was no need to do it in their own strength. When they got the revelation the Master was with them, they hurried and awoke Jesus and “invited Him to the Helm.” Sometimes He may not calm your storm immediately but He can calm you in the midst of your storm because you know who is in charge of the Helm! I encourage you to invite Jesus to steer your ship on the rough seas of your life today.

Psalm 107:29

He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.

My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no data backup.
